In PMS, QRMP preference get auto fetched using GST API. It get auto fetched on multiple event like adding a new clients, activating GST for an existing client, every 1st day of the 2nd month of the quarter i.e. 01 Feb, 01 May, 01 Aug, 01 Nov to get the selected preference for the quarter before creating recurring task etc.
Note – If QRMP preference is not available in the system for a client then it will not be shown at the time of creating GST task and recurring task for such client will get skipped. To resolve this issue, you can update the QRMP manually.
Various Status under QRMP
1) Monthly – When the client has opted monthly preference for QRMP.
2) Quarterly – When the client has opted quarterly preference for QRMP.
3) Not Checked – When the QRMP status is not yet checked. Client with status ‘Not Checked’ will not be listed at the time of creating GST task.
4) Not Opted – When the client has not opted any preference yet on the GST Portal. You can check this article on how to opt QRMP preference on GST Portal. Client with status ‘Not Opted’ will not be listed at the time of creating GST task.
Update QRMP Manually in Bulk
Here is the step-by-step guide for updating QRMP: –
Step 1
Select the QRMP Preference option shown under Client from the left-hand side menu bar.
Step 2
Select the relevant quarter for which you want to update the QRMP and click on Update QRMP Status
Step 3
You will get a dialog box which shows the current status of your request.
Step 4
Once the request status is completed, you can check the update QRMP preference for your clients.
Update QRMP Manually for Specific Client
Here is the step-by-step guide for updating QRMP for a specific client: –
Step 1
Select the QRMP Preference option shown under Client from the left-hand side menu bar.
Step 2
Select the relevant quarter for which you want to update the QRMP.
Step 3
Enter the client name in the box “Search by Legal Name, Trade Name or GSTIN”. All the clients matching your search criteria will be shown in the list.
Step 4
Click on Check button given in the last column under Check Status to update the QRMP for the client.
Note: – Option to Check status will not be available if QRMP preference is already available in the system and the last checked date falls after the expiry of the opt period as provided by the GST Department.
